Lesson

 I am taking a Buddhism study class on Friday afternoons (through the miracle of Zoom).

Yesterday after a small group discussion the leader asked for people to share what they may have learned from that discussion.  We were talking about patience and resilience. I was just starting to share that my take away was from what one person said about how we may have to start by learning to be patient with our impatience when something happened and I just got booted off Zoom.

When a tried to log back on I just got the loading circle of this is not working. Then a message would pop up that Zoom did not load. It happened several times. I went to get a glass of water and decided I would try one more time before just moving on to something else. That time I got right back to the meeting.

So obviously, patience was exactly what the universe had to teach me yesterday!

    Oh, I have never seen that definition of Patience before, and it hit me right between the eyes. For a person who likes to have her ducks in a row, no wonder I frequently have to fight impatience.
    My surgery recovery periods, twice in six months, have been an exercise in patience. I fail often.

    I love that definition of patience. And maybe the at the next class time you can share your patience practicing experience! How appropriate! Ha Ha!

Walking

 I have always been a walker. Now that I have a high energy dog there is no excuse for not getting out there. And the weather is not an interfering factor here. Early morning and early evening are our preferred times so even when it gets hot we should be okay. We can get quite a long walk going around the neighborhood, greeting neighbors out working in their yards or walking their own dogs. But the landscape changes quickly just beyond the confines of the housing developments. It could be described as natural Florida or as sites of future housing developments. I do prefer the first option. And I really enjoy being out in natural areas so I often opt to head to a nature setting. I would have liked to put a picture here. Unfortunately my iPhone has made a unilateral decision. It will no longer be sending my photos to my computer. Why? I have no idea. Wedding

 Don and I drove to South Carolina to attend the wedding of my step-grandson, Will. Will Will and Katie The wedding took place on Dataw Island, a beautiful outdoor ceremony followed by a reception in the country club. We stayed in a tiny cottage in the historic center of Beaufort, rented from Vrbo. Since the wedding was at 5 p.m., we had time to explore the area a bit. I really like the low country scenery and historical charm. Sitting quietly in the curtained gazebo I was visited by multiple cardinals. They came to visit the feeder, not me, but I can always pretend! How I will always remember Will!
