Don thinks this is the funniest thing ever and he swears I have way too much time on my hands. He suggests I get a job.
I made a few of these bags to take to the grocery store or farmers' market so I don't have to use plastic bags.
A little bit of netting and no more than five minutes sewing time.
Hey, maybe I could get a table at one of the Farmers' Markets and sell produce bags?
Nah, that sounds like too much work. I'm retired and enjoying it!

After I retired in 2001, I went into the book business. I wrote 3 books and sold them to libraries, book stores, friends, and relatives. I even had a distributor. In 2010, I shut down the book business after grossing $8,000. I prefer to blog now.
ReplyDeleteI crocheted a few vegetables bags that hang in my pantry for potatoes, etc. They are useful... and when it comes to it, (unless you're in it for the money), you only have to please yourself.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea. I reuse the plastic produce bags, taking them with me along with my reusable grocery totes.
ReplyDeleteI use store bought shopping bags because I don't have a machine anymore. They make sense to me.
ReplyDeleteGood for you!
ReplyDeletelove the bag. makes complete sense to me. As for a job - don't do it. I can't wait to be able to retire. IF EVER. Losing ones pension and job at age 50 really set me back I may work until I die. I live vicariously through all the retired folks.
ReplyDeleteExactly!
ReplyDeleteGood idea though. Will we see you on Shark Tank anytime soon.
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute. I find it fun to take out the sewing machine every so often too.
ReplyDeleteBetter patent the idea; someone might steal it and make a bazillion dollars that should be yours. :)
