Unexpected

I have a number of activities that keep me busy during the week, enough so that I sometimes let daily housework tasks undone. That was the case last week and I found myself on Friday morning planning to catch up. I gave the kitchen counters a good wipe down and then dragged out the vacuum and the mop.

The phone rang. It was my neighbor. She was planning to go to the rodeo in Arcadia and they found out there were extra tickets. Would I be able to go?

A day out with friends or a day spent cleaning? Hmm . . . it didn't take too long to make that decision.

(I wonder why I cannot get pictures to load? And I wonder why my new i-phone won't communicate with my mac? My old android did without a problem.  Or is this yet another new blogger glitch? I am really going off blogging lately.)

  1. So sorry about your blogging problems. I was there a while back. Have you excited from any Google+ logins or links that allow them on Blogger? I found that seemed to help after Google abandoned their social site. I have been a solitary and quiet soul these days...maybe a rodeo would buck me out of that?

  2. Well you made the right choice, except with the phone. (wink wink)
I don't know anything about apple anything. I am not an Apple fan so I can't help you there. Please don't go to wordpress with your blog- I can not get into that to save my life. It allows me one time and then I have to change my password each and every time and make a new file. I no longer read those from wordpress. The above person mentioned removing your links from your google+ file since they closed that down. Others said that helped them with items ranging from the minute to the major. Also try blogger forum for help. It has helped me a good many times. I leave a question and several answer and give suggestions that have always worked for me.
    Best of luck!

  3. Well, I know what my decision would have been...and it wouldn't be staying at home. :)

Sorry to hear about the issues with blogger. I'm like the previous person, I know nothing about Apple products. Hope you find a resolution.

  4. Hi Olga, Make sure that you go into settings on your phone and on your Mac to enable photostream. I do NOT upload to the Cloud automatically because I don't want to pay for Apple storage. However, I have certain things in settings linked among the phone, iPad, and Mac so they will appear seamlessly on all 3. Blogger Forums are great , and if you have an Apple store near you, make an appointment at the Genius Bar - they'll help with any problems.

  6. Hope you went to the rodeo. Arcadia is a neat little Fla town. Don't know anything about Apple and hope you find a solution. We don't need you leaving Blogger.

  7. I can't imagine any of us would choose cleaning house over an outing with a friend. If I get a call to meet a friend for coffee, I'm there...
As for the Apple issue - we have iPhones, but Dell laptops. However, the guys at the Apple Store are very helpful.

It's TIme

It's been a while since I have posted anything and even my reading your posts is falling by the wayside. I am in Florida now. I have a yard where little attention was spent on landscaping for the past years so I am slowly and (somewhat) methodically addressing that. I also volunteer to work at the pollinator garden and the edible garden I helped install at the UU grounds and I took over the volunteer job of cleaning out the overgrown community garden by my neighborhood mailboxes. The neighbor who was doing that got sick and could no longer attend to it. It's a bigger job than I'd thought at first -- not only overgrown with weeds, but the plants that are wanted there are in life and death competition for each others' spaces. And two walks a day, morning and evening, so Levi can keep up with addiction to canine social media and a daily rousing came of stick or ball midday take up another chunk of my time. I have a weekly meditation group that I co-facilitate, and my own ...

Walking

I have always been a walker. Now that I have a high energy dog there is no excuse for not getting out there. And the weather is not an interfering factor here. Early morning and early evening are our preferred times so even when it gets hot we should be okay. We can get quite a long walk going around the neighborhood, greeting neighbors out working in their yards or walking their own dogs. But the landscape changes quickly just beyond the confines of the housing developments. It could be described as natural Florida or as sites of future housing developments. I do prefer the first option. And I really enjoy being out in natural areas so I often opt to head to a nature setting. I would have liked to put a picture here. Unfortunately my iPhone has made a unilateral decision. It will no longer be sending my photos to my computer. Why? I have no idea. However, we may be walking along happily enough -- me listening to the birds or trying to identify wildflowers and other plants while L...

Wedding

Don and I drove to South Carolina to attend the wedding of my step-grandson, Will. Will Will and Katie The wedding took place on Dataw Island, a beautiful outdoor ceremony followed by a reception in the country club. We stayed in a tiny cottage in the historic center of Beaufort, rented from Vrbo. Since the wedding was at 5 p.m., we had time to explore the area a bit. I really like the low country scenery and historical charm. Sitting quietly in the curtained gazebo I was visited by multiple cardinals. They came to visit the feeder, not me, but I can always pretend! How I will always remember Will!
