According to the weather reports on last night's news, it should have been cooler today. They got it wrong and it was a beautiful day for a walk on the beach. Mike used to consider this his church.
It was pretty crowded, but as usual, you did not have to walk to far to lose the crowd (and gain some seaweed).
This is the remains of what was once a two lane road.
Christmas is not forgotten at the beach.
Absolutely I can see this as church too! What a lovely Sunday morning!
ReplyDeleteWow it was crowded! The Christmas decoration on the beach are cool, but that erosion right in their backyards has to worrisome. Great walk!
ReplyDeleteThat is my kind of church too. It's easy to believe in a higher power when you see the beauty in nature. The eroded two lane highway reminds us we're not in charge.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
I agree: church.
ReplyDeleteI like the whimsical directional sign. One of our neighbors made one similar for our road. One day I'll take a picture of it and post about it.
Thanks for the inspiring beach walk. You're inspiring me to head south as "I must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky..."
ReplyDeleteSo can I. Isn't God supposed to be everywhere?
ReplyDeleteNice photos. Yes, that beach is your church.
ReplyDeleteI am definitely with Mike on this one. There is something about being at the beach and hearing the waves that is mystical. Glad you got to go for a walk - your beach is always so different from mine, thanks for sharing it.
ReplyDeleteOh my! I love that adorable beach tree. :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Olga!
