There is nothing like a visit from the grand children to remind one that life goes on. I spent Friday night at my daughter's and then brought the kids back home with me. I did not get to see so much of them this past summer and it was a birthday gift to my daughter (who just turned 40!) to have a couple of days to herself. She probably spent them in her son's room playing Lego StarWars. Dane tried to teach me how to play this video game--a hopeless task if ever there was one. "Concentrate, Grandma! You have to concentrate!" I do have a hard time with sustained concentration lately, but in this case I had no clue what it was that needed concentration. He finally took the controls away from me (thank-you!). It's amazing how long he can amuse himself at my house being out side on a scooter or helping me in the yard, especially if it involves a hose. Inside, they both sit and draw or craft for hours. Just before bed, Dane did say, "N...
So did you have Windows before? If so are you now a Mac fan?
ReplyDeleteI did have windows. I do like the Mac so far.
DeleteGood for you! Have fun with your new toy.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the new computer. Now what about the sweeper?
ReplyDeleteI called and they told me they are waiting for a part. I also called the computer repair place to let them know I did not want a new screen for $250. They told me they would call me back because it had to be reassembled before I could pick it up. So far not a word from them--it has been two weeks. What is up with that, I wonder? They did not call to tell me the problem either, I had to call them. Customer service seems to be a lost art.
DeleteWow I would be over the moon happy with your new computer. I know your going to love it.
ReplyDeleteI know as slow as mine has been that I will have to break down in the future and purchase one myself.
Enjoy it.
Love
Maggie
It was a big deal for me having just bought the Dell laptop a year ago. I usually put up with aggravation far longer than that.
DeleteCongratulations. I would love to have a new toy like that. I think about it but so far haven't made the leap.
ReplyDeleteSo jealous but also very happy for you! I would love to go back to a Mac.
ReplyDeleteI have had Macs for 20 years and still love them.
ReplyDeleteLucky you!!! Enjoy your new toy!!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your new computer. My daughter bought a Mac recently and loves it!
ReplyDeleteI'm still a Windows PC fan, but I suspect you could set yours up yourself because Macs are just that easy, or so I've heard. Cool.
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous. But what was the problem with the Dell? B is thinking of getting a Dell desktop -- she's comfortable with Windows and doesn't want to pay the extra money for the Apple product. What can I say to persuade her?
ReplyDeleteYou have entered the land of ease. I am envious.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it great to have brand new things? After my last computer misadventure, I've had my son "build" me a new computer. It's entirely personalized for me!
ReplyDeletePeace,
Muff
Ah, that is the trick: to know a computer genius. I do know one, but he is out of commission at the moment.
