This past Thursday, I met my friend Ginnie in the morning and we went to a card making party. It has been a while since I attended one of these get togethers--a fairly standard group of women who get together for crafts, lunch and some general silliness.
On Friday, we were waiting for Mike's sister to arrive from Connecticut. Her planned visit at the beginning of June was derailed by their brother's passing and the funeral. I was glad that she could get away for a visit just to relax.
We had planned a project. She had a coverlet that she really likes but the edges had started to fray quite badly. We made a trip to a nearby quilt shop and she picked out fabric that she wanted for a border. I cut the strips and machine sewed the border on. She will finish the hand sewing and she will have a lovely "new" coverlet. It poured rain Saturday afternoon so it was nice to have that indoor project to do.
On Saturday morning, I took SIL for an appointment with a Akashic Records consultant. I had told her about this woman and she was very interested. She was really glad for the experience. It sounds most intriguing.
Personally, I really like the idea of past and future lives for our spirit. I am a firm believer in recycling and I would like to think the God recycles souls.
Mike had four doctor's appointments W-T-F of last week--more on that later.
I realize that I need to take a bit of time to play with putting pictures on my blog now that I have a new computer. Always something new to learn.

Hi Olga, Have fun with S-i-L. I've never heard of Akashic - will have to read about it. Your yard must be looking good from all the rain.
ReplyDeleteThe yard is green for sure. Blossoms got soggy pretty fast, but I did manage to put together a bouquet or two for the house.
DeleteHope you husband is doing well. I am impressed that you know how to sew, because I can't. I gave my daughter my sewing machine for that reason, and I know she will be able to get some use from it.
ReplyDeleteI learned to sew as a kid, but only since retirement have I gotten into it. I really enjoy it now.
DeleteIt sounds like a busy, but happy week!
ReplyDeletePeace,
Muff
It is amazing how the days fill up. I often wonder how I possibly fit a job into my life. Well, it was a different life in a way. We adapt.
DeleteI haven't heard about that either and checked the site. Sounds interesting and I do like the lack of needles approach.
ReplyDeleteOops, for a second I misinterpreted the W T F appointments for a moment and thought you had slipped into graphic text speech. Surprised me a bit. Hope they went well.
My sister-in-law really enjoyed the experience.
DeleteI'm so glad you had a fun time doing crafts and camaraderie with the crafty ladies. Bet your SIL appreciated your help. Hope its nothing serious with Mike.
ReplyDeleteBusy week! Sounds like you had a nice visit with you SIL. I hope there is nothing too serious health wise for your husband.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it wonderful that there is always something new to learn. Life would be so much less if we already knew all there was to know.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a great weekend! I thought of you this morning when watching the 5 AM news -- Twinkies are supposed to be back on the shelf on July 15th!!!
ReplyDeleteOlga,
ReplyDeleteFirst, best wishes to your husband, I didn't realize he was ill. I hope all goes well with whatever he's facing.
Thank you for linking to my site from your blog post! I noticed people coming to my website from confessionsofagrandma.blogspot.com and scratched my head over who it could be. It's interesting how few people have heard of the Akashic Records, I think perhaps calling them "Soul Archives" would make them more accessible. If anyone has questions about readings or my other work, please feel free to get in touch. I'm twenty or so weeks into a weekly blog as well. http://www.intuitiveheal.com/blog/
I'm off to subscribe to your blog, Olga. I also look forward to seeing you in the "real" as in not Akashic and not virtual world!
I do love general silliness with good friends. It's the best sort of fun! Have fun with adding photos. I love to play with that feature for my posts. My problem is trying to know when to stop.
