This has been a warm (breaking the record for #of days with temps in the 80s) and very dry summer in Vermont.
I really cannot remember a prolonged rain this past season. When there were severe storm warnings, they all seemed to pass around us. It was almost like little Jericho Center was sitting in a donut hole. Hmm. Maybe the storms followed cell service because we are in a no man’s land hole for that too.
We did have the occasional down pour. This one lasted about as long as these videos:
Oh, well, never mind. Apparently my computer does not want to download a video or two right now. Maybe I just don’t know how to do it although it seems straight forward enough.
Anyway, it rained pretty hard and then:
We were a bit like you -- very hot and humid, but little rain. Now we're having mild weather with some rain here and there. I think the whole country had weird summer climes!
ReplyDeletePeace,
Muff
Love the pictures especially the rainbow.
ReplyDeleteThe rainbow picture is awesome. I love the smell of fresh rain!!
ReplyDeleteVt rainbows - the perfect end to a day.
ReplyDeleteCool rainbow.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about the donut hole. Pittsburgh seem to be a wedge (maybe the rivers) and storms that were aimed square at us from the west seem to slip north or south of us. I like rain, it stands to reason.
We're still having warm days and no rain. We're drying up and the wild fires have begun. the air is smokey.
ReplyDeleteWe had such a wonderful mild summer -- until 2 weeks ago! It is 102.8 at the moment and it is still going up. It is to hat to even play outside with the hose!
ReplyDeleteI think I have enjoyed the weather this summer far more than many recent summers.
ReplyDeleteI think that, but to tell you the truth, I can't remember from one year to another what the weather has been like.
It's been a great summer. Dryish, yes, but beautiful.
And the wonderful reward is the rainbow!
ReplyDeleteDelightful.
Cheers from Cottage Country!
You got some pretty pictures. Hot and smoggy here, with chance of forest fires.
