Slowly, slowly, we are getting settled in our new home in Florida. We are getting rid of some of the old furniture that I had down here and replacing with new. Don is still trying to find homes for all his stuff -- tools and collectibles and books galore so the boxes are not disappearing as quickly as I would like, but progress is being made.
There is yard work to do and a few fix-ups to take care of and many new neighbors to meet.
Large screened lanai. Shady corner lot.
Somewhat out of control shrubs

Levi is very happy. He runs around in the yard and I take him for walks at least twice a day. He has met many dog friends. Everyone seems to know Levi. As my grandson Dane once said, "If you want to be in a celebrity entourage, take Levi for a walk."
Thank you for this post! I like knowing how you live in your new home. Looks like you have gardening to do, but not too much, a shady, bug free place to relax outside, and a good dog to introduce you to the neighbors. :-)
ReplyDeleteYay! Congratulations on your move. Your house looks beautiful and now you don't have to worry about snow at all.
ReplyDeleteMoving is always so much work. We moved yesterday and the seller came by with some keys for us. He shared that he had 5000 books! We knew we'd seen a lot when we toured the house, but oh my goodness, he had his own library.
ReplyDeleteYour lanai looks like a wonderful spot to curl up and read. Enjoy your new place!
Certainly hope you like your new home and new neighbors. Always a challenge.
ReplyDeleteIt looks really nice. Wish I had shrubs like yours, and that screened lanai is a gift.
ReplyDeleteWhat a relief to be in your new place, with the really exhausting and hard work of the actual move behind you.
ReplyDeleteI love your home /lanai. But I do understand how those damn boxes don't disappear!
