I have just in the past week or so started seeing those first tinges of changing leaves. It seems late because I used to be aware of the beginning changes in early to mid August -- a sure sign of a new school year beginning. Maybe I am finally just not that tuned in to the school calendars anymore.
Other fun is ahead, though.
My condo is under contract and if all goes well, we will be heading south the first of October.
So let the fun begin of all the paperwork involved in selling. Let the fun begin of checking off items from my to-do list -- one added for everyone checked seems to be the trend right now. Let the fun of social events begin since my family and friends seem to believe I am planning to fall off the face of the earth. Or perhaps be blown out to sea in a hurricane.
Don't forget the great fun of packing and the knowledge that unpacking awaits.
It's funny that friends in Florida say won't you be glad to only have a hurricane to worry about instead of those terrible flooding rains you get in Vermont. All a matter of perspective.
Well, I wish you well wherever you land. You are a good virtual friend. Good luck with all of the transitions.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! My house is listed at the moment and we have a conditional sale but there is still a hoop to get through that I'm not certain will happen.
ReplyDeletePacking and unpacking are just a pain but a necessary evil. Best of luck!
Congratulations on selling your condo. I am so happy for you. Hope your house in Florida was spared by the hurricane.
ReplyDeleterain and snow any day over a hurricane and living where DeSanti rules. You always say your condo. This is a house in the photo or is it attached like a townhome? Or I'm utterly confused and my God the possibility of that is high these days. It's 99 here today so no signs of fall appear to be in my future. Are you going to be a permanent residence now in FL? :-(
ReplyDeleteIt would be more properly be called a townhouse -- four attached units in one building and each two stories but everyone here calls them condos.
DeleteWe still spend summers in Seattle and winters in Tucson. Haven't had to move anything but clothes for a while now. I dread the selling of one of the places. So much to do! Hope yours goes smoothly.
