I have just watched the memorial ritual for the 400,000 dead by COVID-19 at the Lincoln Memorial.
Caring and compassion and dignity offered to those who mourn as well to those who have died.
A turn in leadership toward healing and honesty.
"A grandma is just an antique little girl"...unknown
Compassion for the millions of young people shut out from their jobs, who are behind on their rent.
ReplyDeleteAnd a recognition that this is a REAL pandemic.
ReplyDeleteGood news for the entire world.
ReplyDeleteI heard Dr. Agus on the radio yesterday. He is like a young dr. Fauci. He has been working with the Biden team already so they can hit the ground running and talked about what the plans were. He was a fabulous guest and I learned a lot. There is hope.
ReplyDeleteAmen. Wonderful to have someone at the helm that cares.
ReplyDeleteA dear friend died of COVID yesterday. Lost another friend last month to this dreadful disease.
ReplyDeleteBless us one and all.
ReplyDeleteAnnie, I am sorry for your loss.
ReplyDeleteSue, Of course, compassion for all who are suffering.
I'd almost forgotten how nice it is to have a President who is caring (about the people in our country, not just himself), has common sense, can speak in complete sentences that have meaning, and is actually doing the work that needs to be done as President. He has already started working.
ReplyDeleteThat was a touching ceremony. Hopefully, the vaccine will halt further suffering and dying.
ReplyDeleteI thought the inauguration was handled tastefully with lots of warmth and caring. What a relief!
