Florida's governor, as of yesterday, has issued the "Stay at Home" order. He had said he was waiting to hear from Trump about what he should do. Meanwhile, many other governors of hard hit states took a more proactive stance.
Well, I have been under my own stay at home constraints. Not all work has stopped around here.
I am living in a dust bowl and a pandemic. Double house arrest. Introversion skills finally come in handy!

Haha. Yes, being introverted has helped me tremendously, too.
ReplyDeleteOlga, unfortunately your governor is a dipstick. His head is so far up his orange buddies arse that he can't see straight. If any state should have been on lock down it should be Florida. Talk about a lot of high risk people and dumb ass spring breakers. I read where a bunch of them came back with Covid-19. I can't even feel sorry for those kids except that they are hurting others. Crazy.
ReplyDeleteAs my daughter said several weeks ago, introverts will thrive. However being driven inside by construction dust is no fun. BTW, your Gov has made the national news, not in a good way. I'm glad you adopted your own "stay at home" long before now.
ReplyDeleteYikes, a double whammy! I have to say I'm not very impressed with your governor. Not only did he delay the stay at home order, but he's refusing to allow cruisers off the ships to get them home. He was quite happy to have them embark from Florida! I've heard he's been overruled by the federal administration but I'm not sure when it will happen.
ReplyDeleteTake care and stay well!
You didn't have a choice but to obey the order. I was surprised he took so long. Right now Arkansas is one of the very few states still not told to stay home. We mostly are anyway.
ReplyDeleteIt seems the construction and commercial industry has been able to eak out a living longer than some other industries. I think I've seen that roadwork has still been going on around town.
ReplyDeleteWe went under self-isolation as of March 13, though I don't think the order went out from the state of PA for another week. The lawn and tree people are still working ... I guess because they mostly work in ones and twos and can keep safe distance. Also, car mechanics still work. They are considered essentgial.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about that dust. It should soon be over and you will have your quiet neighborhood. My neighbor is putting in a rock wave breaker on his shoreline to prevent erosion The workers on the boat are not practicing any type of distance!
ReplyDeleteYup! Construction work is going on here too. And would you believe we’re still getting some tourists? Have no idea why. I’m glad you’re staying safe at home.
