I have been getting a message from Blogger -- try the New Blogger now.
We are making changes to make life easier (paraphrased).
I avoid clicking the continue button to try the changes now. Unfortunately I know that the changes will come on their own.
I am skeptical, perhaps even cynical, about changes in technology having any kind of salubrious effect on my life.
Honestly, I am not one who always resists change. I often embrace it. For example, I would certainly embrace a change in the current political situation.
However, it is apparent that I no longer have the brain plasticity needed for adapting to changing technology.
A phone answering machine that could sit on my desk next to my landline phone was the last advance that I personally felt added some value to my life. Anything after that -- meh.
I get to the party late, usually kicking and screaming.
Olga, I laughed when I read this. I've been getting that message too... and hesitate to try it. Will it be better or will it mess up what I already have?. We need someone who has tried it to comment, yes?
ReplyDeleteI know that message well and have been trying to ignore it. Someone will and will blog the results. I can wait for that.
ReplyDeleteTechnology requires many brain cells, which means I make hubby figure it out for me.
ReplyDeleteI've been avoiding that button like the plague also. Why fix it, if it ain't broke is my thought!
ReplyDeleteSeveral of my friends have given up landlines entirely and rely on their cellphones. We need our landlines for my 90 year old mother. When we went to buy another landline since our old one died, the salesperson was saying they didn't carry a lot of them since it's mostly only older people that bother with it. Sigh... ah well...
ReplyDeleteI don't remember seeing the button. However,I wonder if that improvement had anything to do with my blog being taken down when there are so many blogs on the internet that haven't been updated in 10 years.
ReplyDeleteHaven't seen that message. Maybe google has gotten the message about my technology skills and given up on me.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen that message either, but I would not welcome it. New and improved most often isn't.
ReplyDeleteMy iPhone just updated its ios system and now it all just seems more complicated, not better.
I hear you and I agree with you and I am you in this regard.
ReplyDeleteI have not had a blogger notice about trying the new blogger. I can't imagine that will do anything positive anyway sadly.
