Fall sort of snuck up on me this year but there is no doubt it is here now. The chill is in the air and the leaves are turning. It's a pretty time of year. I am sure I will enjoy it as I travel south.
I noticed signs for ski and snowboard sales, a sure sign of another season to come.
Halloween decorations are out on lawns. Candy selections and pumpkins are already kind of picked over in the stores. I did see Santas lined up on a shelf next to skeletons at CVS yesterday.
No way the holiday season sneaks up on anyone anymore.

95 yesterday but a cool 85 today. Our leaves are beginning - fall is normally a week long around these parts and it's the best week ever. I just wish it were 4 months like the dreaded winter is. Safe Travels - stop by for a beverage on your further south. :-)
ReplyDeleteI will miss our fall if it ever starts. 90s all this week. We have broken a record every single day!
ReplyDeleteUpper 40s here today then back to 50s, 60s. Seems to me that fall weather has started earlier this year where I live but I do love to see the leaves changing color.
ReplyDeleteWe had a bit of snow this past weekend, but thankfully we've got some warmer weather coming soon. I am sooo not ready for it to be winter.
ReplyDeleteSafe travels!
I never liked the change of seasons in New York back in the 1970s. I like Hawaiian weather more. My ancestors came from frigid Korea, North China and Japan. Go figure why I like warm weather.
ReplyDeleteWell, the Fall weather hasn't hit us yet, but the pumpkins have! There are pumpkins everywhere!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if the leaves are changing in VT. My friend is visiting there this week. Here fall was late and now mostly over in Breckenridge. Many leaves are just browning and dropping because we're so dry.
ReplyDeleteHasn't made it here yet. 97 today but there is hope for the weekend. I am soooooo ready for some cool.
ReplyDeleteFall seemed to come early here in the PNW, lots of rain and now cold nights and highs only in the low 60's. Native trees are just beginning to show color.
ReplyDeleteWhen are you heading south?
Seeing the fall leaves in the Northeast in still on my bucket list. Maybe one of these days.
