My iron stopped heating. Incidents of burning myself were greatly reduced, but lack of heat is not a desirable feature in a clothes iron so I purchased a new one.
Like most irons it has a number of settings -- delicate, normal (cotton) and maximum ( jeans).
A setting for jeans!! That made me laugh out loud and also announce to my new iron that no one irons jeans.

I didn't think anyone even ironed anymore.
ReplyDeleteI ironed three shirts and two JEANS yesterday.
ReplyDeleteMy best friend irons her jeans! Yep, crease and all. But she also washes fruit with soap and water.
ReplyDeleteI iron so rarely...but poor hubby's shirts sometimes show that.
ReplyDeleteMy hubby wouldn't wear his jeans unless they had a crease. Kind of glad that went out with the divorce.
ReplyDeleteI so rarely iron - I'd rather throw a damp towel into the dryer with the clothing for a few minutes to try to get the wrinkles out. How lazy is that?
ReplyDeleteThough my iron did get a workout last spring when I helped my niece with a sewing project.
Enjoy!
Well hopefully it doesn't have a WIFI connection and an app that you can set the heat of your iron with Siri, Alexa, Cortana, or Google Assistant while flying to Florida and keep records of your ironing on the cloud. Lacking such, you can be assured that your iron has not been hacked and is overwhelming some internet source with millions of requests for the proper heat setting for Faded Glory verses True Religion. Nor will Russian hackers be able to leak your ironing quirks on Wikileaks.
ReplyDeleteIt is a very strange world we live in.
Haha! You made it so much funnier!
DeleteI thought I was the only one who ironed anything anymore!
