These are baby live oak trees:
This flower is on a tree. Very fragrant.
Lady palm. Small, so maybe a candidate for my yard:
Bottle palm
Jasmine, also very fragrant
Cactus and succulants
Must take a lot of work to keep this bougainvillea in line.
Gold tree
Statue of a Florida manatee.
I did see a real one this winter!
Jacaranda are starting to bloom.
I've always loved the bottle palm. Many years ago, when I sold my then house, I had a beautiful large palm out front. The buyers wanted me to remove it as part of the purchase contract. Not only did that offend me but I was not up to the task. Guess not everyone likes palms.
ReplyDeleteOh the trees and plants are so lovely! Thanks for sharing the photos.
ReplyDeleteYou have lot of plants and trees which has beautiful flowers in it...
ReplyDeleteAll are fascinating and beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWe called them ponytail palms--same thing. I know people who use them as house plants. Wonder how they would do in Vt.
ReplyDeleteIf you are still looking for trees for your yard may I suggest a Plumeria? They come in all kinds of colors, take very little maintenance and have a light fragrance. They grow well in Florida.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely place to be. We have jacaranda in Hawaii too. They are really spectacular, aren't they?
