I don't know if I caught a cold or if I am suffering from seasonal allergies. I do know for sure that I am miserable.
My nose seems to be in training for a marathon. My eyes and ears itch. There is a little tickle in my throat. I am sneezing. My head hurts and I am wiped out.
I slept for a while this afternoon--until I had that free falling through the air feeling and woke up with a start. I have done a couple nasal rinses with my neti pot. I am drinking tea with honey and lemon and ginger. I took two steamy showers after sprinkling black spruce essential oil in the tub. So far no magic bullet.
Even though it is barely dinner time. I put on my most comfy pajamas and wrapped myself in a quilt so I can watch the news.
I am remembering a bottle of bourbon in the cupboard. Hmmm. May not cure anything but it surely can't hurt?

That's quite a list of remedies that weren't. Try the bourbon.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! I know what you feel like! I've been battling my throat clearing for months. At one point, I really did catch a cold also though. I think the nose rinse thing helped. I'm also on Zyrtec and Flonase and they seem to be helping a bit. Not totally, but enough.
ReplyDeleteIt seems everyone is looking for a cure. Zyrtec is about the only thing I can take because of all my heart medication but it puts me to sleep. My sister takes it though without a problem and swears it saves her. You might try it...with the bourbon:-)
ReplyDeleteI have the exact same symptoms. We have a high pollen alert, and I think I have a nasty cold along with with. My eardrums feel like they are going to blow out the side of my head. I hope we get better!
ReplyDeleteI am feeling your pain also. Not sure if it's cold or allergies either. Allergy meds don't seem to help so back to cold remedies. If I could drink, pretty sure a hot toddy would be on my table. Go for it. It sure can't hurt. May we all be better soon.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you're suffering, but look at the bright side. No matter what you do, you'll feel better in three days.
ReplyDeleteYuck, it's never fun to be feeling unwell. Lots of rest and fluids and hopefully it will pass assuming it isn't allergies.
ReplyDeleteTake care and I hope you feel better soon!
Too bad you are not feeling well. Lots of rest will help. Hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteHahaha. Not funny but your telling is. I am plagued by allergies year round. Hope you're better soon.
ReplyDeleteThese symptoms sure sound like allergies. A nice hot toddy will at least offer comfort... Feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteSure hope by now you are felling lots better!
ReplyDeleteI wondered where you'd been! :-)
