Weekend in Connecticut

I was in Connecticut visiting my sister-in-law over the weekend.  We went shopping at the Corelle outlet and had hot lobster rolls at a place on the river.  On Saturday night we took a haunted house tour at the Mark Twain House.  Mr.  Clemens did not show up, nor did any other spirits that I saw.  Still, it was an interesting tour.

Some day I will figure out how to get pictures off my new phone and I will be better able to share some of my little travels.

So instead of a picture, I will share a quote:

    Good quote. My photos download automatically to FB when I push the link, so perhaps,with Blogger, you just need to set up the link as well.

    Yes, you need to figure out how to transfer those pics! I would be lost without mine. The lobster rolls sound perfect.

    I use a USB cable to connect my iPhone to my computer and store my phone photos along with my camera photos

    I hope you figure it out soon. I would love to see all the pictures of your adventures. P.S. My last trip to the Corelle outlet cost me around $200.00.. Gotta stay away from those places for a while.

    I have never tasted lobster rolls but the mention made me remember some delicious pepperoni rolls I used to get in Tulsa. My mouth is watering.

    If you can't plug your phone into the computer, I send the photos to my email and then I save them to a file from which I can use it on a post. I'll bet there are easier ways, but that's what I do. I LOVE the Corelle outlets too. I just can't resist them, even when I should. And I love Mark Twain too.

I have a yard where little attention was spent on landscaping for the past years so I am slowly and (somewhat) methodically addressing that. Walking

 I have always been a walker. Now that I have a high energy dog there is no excuse for not getting out there. And the weather is not an interfering factor here. Early morning and early evening are our preferred times so even when it gets hot we should be okay. We can get quite a long walk going around the neighborhood, greeting neighbors out working in their yards or walking their own dogs. But the landscape changes quickly just beyond the confines of the housing developments. It could be described as natural Florida or as sites of future housing developments. I do prefer the first option. And I really enjoy being out in natural areas so I often opt to head to a nature setting. I would have liked to put a picture here. Unfortunately my iPhone has made a unilateral decision. It will no longer be sending my photos to my computer. Why? I have no idea. Wedding

 Don and I drove to South Carolina to attend the wedding of my step-grandson, Will. Will Will and Katie The wedding took place on Dataw Island, a beautiful outdoor ceremony followed by a reception in the country club. We stayed in a tiny cottage in the historic center of Beaufort, rented from Vrbo. Since the wedding was at 5 p.m., we had time to explore the area a bit. I really like the low country scenery and historical charm. Sitting quietly in the curtained gazebo I was visited by multiple cardinals. They came to visit the feeder, not me, but I can always pretend! How I will always remember Will!
