Happy Colors

I was very happy to notice these bright colors at the JCPenney store when I was there last.

It seems as though it is always easy to find pastels and muted colors but not always brighter hues.  I snatched up some tee shirts and a flower patterned skirt.

I am a "spring" but bright, clear colors of spring.  Have you ever had your colors done?

    I love the skirt -- and I love that it matches ALL of the shirts and I do love your choice of colors. I see a trip to JCP in my future!

      I wore that skirt when Mike went to the cardio lab and got compliments all day long.

    Funny -- I like the brighter shades, too. I just found that color green you have there in a golf shirt on sale at Macy's!

    Colors this year are hot, hot. Orange and deep blues and greens. I did have my colors done many years ago and I am a winter...need to wear emeralds, watermelon, etc.

    Ohhh - I like those vivid colors. Is the skirt maxi? I'm thinking of shopping for an ankle length skirt - but summer weight.

      The skirt is knee length. I have noticed that the maxi length is popular again. My legs are my saving feature, though.

      I report them to the Do-Not-Call registry, but as the article points out--these call come from crooks who do not care about such trifling things.

    As we get older and lose some of our natural plumage, it is nice to kick it up a notch with bright colors. I don't know my colors.
    If I don't recognize the caller ID, I just don't answer.

      As usual, we were the last people on the block to get caller ID--just got it last fall if you can believe it. What a wonderful invention!

    I love the colors too. It's great you can wear every one of the t's with the skirt.

    Funny, I live in Canada and I've been getting similar calls. I've tried hitting zero on the phone over and over again in order to get a live person, hoping to get removed from their list but no luck. We have do-not-call list and I'm on it but it doesn't stop these calls!

      I guess there are downsides to technology--or maybe to human nature when there are those who are so quick to find ways to take advantage of others.

    I really love those colors too and would have been drawn to them. Did you see any tablecloths? I have been looking for a colorful tablecloth that doesn't cost a fortune. I could make one, but I don't have a working sewing machine at the moment.

    I don't think I ever *really* had my colors done. My sister (who had had hers done) told me I was . . . what . . . ? I can't remember. But I do love those colors that you've chosen! Bright colors=Happy!

    It was all the rage many years ago, getting your colors done. i haven't heard too much about it lately, but I still carry my little swatches around!

    The only thing I remember clearly is that I wasn't supposed to wear pastel yellow, but SCHOOLBUS YELLOW. ...and that aqua is good for everybody.
    I smoked and drank back then, though, so I'm probably a different color now. :-)

 It's been a while since I have posted anything and even my reading your posts is falling by the wayside. I am in Florida now. I have a yard where little attention was spent on landscaping for the past years so I am slowly and (somewhat) methodically addressing that. New Furniture

 We went shopping for a new couch. I liked this one, the first store we went to. Of course it would be an impulse to buy the first one so we trekked around to other stores -- something we liked more, a better deal? No surprise that we ended up going back to that first store the next day and purchasing that couch for our living room. Also a matching love seat for the den where we watch TV. Because I had replaced my old love seat with two recliners. We couldn't keep three households worth of furniture after all. Well, my recliner was not big enough to accommodate both Levi and me. Poor boy had to watch TV from his bed on the floor. There! This is much better! Spoiled much? The little tail on the floor belongs to his toy squirrel, Buddy. It's like having a toddler with the need to be picking up toys or risk tripping over them. But his very favorite play thing is that bathmat that can be found anywhere but the bathroom floor.

Walking

 I have always been a walker. Now that I have a high energy dog there is no excuse for not getting out there. And the weather is not an interfering factor here. Early morning and early evening are our preferred times so even when it gets hot we should be okay. We can get quite a long walk going around the neighborhood, greeting neighbors out working in their yards or walking their own dogs. But the landscape changes quickly just beyond the confines of the housing developments. It could be described as natural Florida or as sites of future housing developments. I do prefer the first option. And I really enjoy being out in natural areas so I often opt to head to a nature setting. I would have liked to put a picture here. Unfortunately my iPhone has made a unilateral decision. It will no longer be sending my photos to my computer. Why? I have no idea.
