Granny Annie at Fools Rush In issued a challenge: post a selfie of self and pet.
Since I no longer have a pet, I took the second option of posting my refrigerator contents. You will notice there is no pet food lurking there, but I did go to the grocery store yesterday and stocked up for a while.
Here's the selfie:
Florida hair in all its frizzy glory.
Doesn't look like what I paid at the grocery. but there is more in the freezer.
Works for me! Cooking is a lot more fun than taking care of a pet.
ReplyDeleteYes. I miss my cat but not cleaning the litter box or scrubbing those hairball spit-ups off the carpet.
DeleteI always get home and think how did these few bags add up to THAT!
ReplyDeleteI worry about how my daughter manages to feed her kids. Food seems so expensive these days.
DeleteIt's good to see you settled in Florida!
ReplyDeleteI am happy to be here, but also quite sad. This was the life Mike and I envisioned for our retirement together. Here, though, being a widow or a widower is the norm. Not a comfortable norm for me yet, there you have it.
DeleteNice photos! I wish the inside of my fridge looked like that...it's stuffed full and I'm sure I'll be finding things I meant to use in the spring.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you've gotten to Florida, enjoy the heat!
You might think that cooking for one is not much different than cooking for two, but for me it really is a huge difference.
DeleteMy hair goes just the opposite in Arizona. Frizzy and fluffy in Washington State, straw like in Tucson.
ReplyDeleteIn Vermont, I never know what I am going to get!
DeleteWhy, that explains why you're thin and in such good shape!
ReplyDeleteI used to be thin, but I am still healthy enough.
DeleteThat really is a great picture of you. Sure wish my fridge was that clean and neat!
ReplyDeleteRemember that I have only been here a day!
DeleteLove your Florida selfie. Well done and you look quite festive.
ReplyDeleteFilling up an empty refrigerator takes a lot of trips.
I really do not need this refrigerator. A dorm size model would probably be sufficient, especially because the markets and grocery stores here are so plentiful and so nearby.
DeleteI think your hair looks lovely. I also like your flowered blouse, it looks very nice on you.
ReplyDeleteGlad you got to Florida safe and sound.
My kids were here yesterday and I did not see that you met the challenge. Hooray! I have posted a link on my page and thank you for playing along. Love you adaptation and will take your word for it that there is more food in the freezer side. Hope you are having a nice time in Florida despite the frizzy hair. It looks nice as do your glasses.
ReplyDeleteIt's too bad Mike is not there to enjoy the warm weather with you. Merry Christmas, Olga. Aloha from Hawaii.
ReplyDeleteI love your selfie, Olga. I love your Florida hair too.
