I couple of weeks ago I made this lemon pie for Don.
I thought it was a thing of beauty that should not be cut into, but he disagreed. He let me have a piece and allowed as how if I was good for one thing it was making lemon pie.
The following week he announced he needed to lose some weight. He was giving up sweets. No problem.
Last night I fixed a nice supper of scallops with pasta and broccoli. As we cleared the table Don asked if I had happened to have made another pie. "No, you said you were giving up sweets for a while."
"But I meant after I polished off another one of your pies! You should have understood that!"
I think I'm with Don on this one. I'd want another pie too. :)
ReplyDeleteSounds reasonable to me, Olga. Make him another pie!
ReplyDeleteThat pie looks so beautiful. I would not mind having a bite.
ReplyDeleteGuess you're not a mind reader either!
ReplyDeleteI know!
DeleteCan't really blame him. That is one lovely pie and just happens to be my favorite.
ReplyDeleteHaha I can totally get that he would want another pie. Diets are a nice wish but pie is a logical reality as it offers a sense of total satisfaction especially like ones you make. Wish I had some now.
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful pie. Picture perfect.
