Bronchitis

I had a cold right after I arrived in Florida.  I blamed it on airport germs and got over it in the usual  week's time.  Then I got another cold about two weeks ago.  What?  This is unusual for me.  And this one seemed to want to hang on but I convinced myself I felt better after ten days.

Well, Thursday night was a real bother with a hacking dry cough that kept me awake and miserable.
Still,
I didn't really feel that bad.  My nose started running again.  Another cold?  I decided to have this checked up so I called my doctor and she squeezed me into her schedule.  She diagnosed bronchitis and prescribed some kind of medicinal cocktail.

I have never had bronchitis before and can't say I like it very much.  I am going to assume the medicine is working, but I sure am not.

I read two of your older blogs too. New idea for muffin tins and aging that has you looking at new possibilities . Might be fun.

  6. Well if you were up here, I would blame it on the constant temperature swings. One day we are in the 60's next day in the 20's then back again. It couldn't be climate change because everyone knows that is Chinese hoax.

But in Florida, I should imagine that you are having more stable temps. Is the pollen bad? I think that can really aggravate bronchitis. Take care of yourself and get better.

  7. That does not sound pleasant. I hope the meds work and you are over it quickly.

I have to think it must be worse to have a cold in the warm weather...it kind of feels normal here in winter.

  8. Bummer. Sounds like it is wearing your resistance down. Take your meds, soak up some vitamin D and get good rest.

  9. I'm so, so sorry. I have had my bout with acute bronchitis myself. I am finally just getting over what started a month ago. I have more than one medicinal cocktail before it was over. Rest, fluids, and more rest and fluids seemed to help the most. Take care. Get better.

  11. Sure hope by now you are feeling lots better. I've had bronchitis twice and hated it both times. Felt like an elephant sitting on my chest. Glad you opted to go to the doctor.
