Lake Front Property

Some might call this a pond, but in the Florida real estate promotions, it would be classified as  lake front property.  It is a pretty and serence spot.

And in the middle of it, there is an island rookery.  The white dots here are nesting herons and egrets.  The sound was impressive.  I am not sure it would be a selling point.

The Jacaranda trees are in full purple bloom.

I liked the color of this bougainvillea.

The actual flowers are the white centers.  The colored bracts are actually protective leaves.

  4. I love a pond like this. I think I would love all the birds nesting but only if they kept decent hours!

  9. Florida is lovely but if you are away from the ocean it is unbearably hot and sticky in the summer months. You need a Northern retreat.

  10. Such a beautiful spot. I too love homes near water. We have a beautiful pond here but too many water moccasins to enjoy being near it.
Wanted to come by and check on you and tell you thank you for such a sweet comment about Christi's wedding. It was such a joyous day and I am glad I was able to share it.
I think of you often and hope your doing well. Have a wonderful week.
    Love

  14. I didn't know that about bougainvilleas either and they grow all over the place here in Hawaii. I love the one with the white center too. Your photos are so pretty.

  15. Stunning flower. waterfront properties and rising water levels are not my idea of a wise investment.
