Birthdays

September is a month of numerous birthdays in my family.  Mike's birthday was in September.  My mother's birthday was in September.  A niece, a nephew, a step grand daughter, and a grand nephew (great nephew??) all have birthdays in September.  I have not been so great about getting cards out in honor of the various celebrations, but I did manage to make a couple.
One for my baby sister.

One for her youngest.

60 and 30.

  3. Wonderful birthday cards!

Help me nail down that great-/grand- issue, will you, please? I think I prefer "grand," since I'll never be a grandmother.

  9. You do really nice work. Those are keeper cards and mean so much more than the card company supply.

  10. The mention of keeping cards...I found a hanging file in Mike's file cabinet that was marked "O" and in it were all the cards and little notes I had given him over the years. I had assumed he just tossed them, never knew he had the sentimental streak. He still surprises me.

  12. Beautiful cards! What machine do you have -- Cricut? I'm looking for a good, inexpensive one. My birthday, my mother's, and my nephew's are all in September. Great people were born in that month. [wink-wink!]

  15. Those cards are beautiful. I've always admired those with paper-crafting skills. I typically just write all over it, not make it pretty.
